Police announced on 9 July that they now believe the three bombs placed on the London underground network on 7 July detonated simultaneously at 0850 BST. They also reiterated their belief that they are not dealing with suicide bombings for these attacks…
The first attacks occurred on 7 July at 0851 BST (0751 GMT) on a Hammersmith and City line tube at Aldgate East underground station, and on a Piccadilly line underground train between Russell Square and Kings Cross.
It was initially believed that the Edgware Road underground bomb exploded around 20 minutes later, at 0917 BST. However, through analysis of technical and forensic data the police have now concluded that this bomb detonated at almost the same time as the other two. At 0947 BST a number 30 bus exploded at Tavistock Square near the British Medical Association building. (more…)
